I have looked through and compiled a list of free directories for you to take a look at which will might help you out. I double checked these myself and submitted to them to ensure that they were not only free, but whether or not you needed a reciprocal link, as well
- MyGreenCorner - Main site is PR6. Many deep links vary. The site is clean, crisp, and looking great. No Reciprocal Link required for this free directory.
- The Living Link - Main site is PR6. It looks a little new, but it looks pretty good. More links submissions are more submissions, right? No Reciprocal Link required for this free directory.
- Free Website Directory - This seems like a nice directory. PR4-PR5 (Varies in the deep pages). It is still a nice find. No Reciprocal Link Needed for this free directory.
- LDMStudio - Interesting Directory. PR5 main. Deep Links vary. No Reciprocal Link (however if you have a PR3+ and do a reciprocal link you get a premium listing).
- CanLinks - PR5 Free Directory. Deep Links vary. No Reciprocal Link required.
- Prolink Directory - Nice Alexa rating, PR3 though. Still a nice find. By the looks of it, no reciprocal link needed. Here, you can submit articles, too.
- Acoona - Although not a directory, this is a search engine that seemed kind of interesting. Its PR5. No Reciprocal Link Required. Just click the link and submit your site/description for those precious little crawlers.
- SEOCourt - An SEO-Friendly free directory. PR5 main page. Looks promising.
- Pegasus - Only a PR3 directory, but looks like there is a lot of life on this one. This is a free directory, and you can submit articles here, too.
To Cut to The Point, there are thousands of Free Directories, These can be found here:
www.web-directories.ws
- Though at first glance, the site may be a bit confusing, it has lists of directories for features, paid, free, or even specific niches. I hope this helps everyone out.

| Technologies blog(1 February 2008 at 11:41 am) | 1 | are web directory really is worth for PR? I have heard that it doesn’t give anything for your PR

| ThinkBlogger(1 February 2008 at 4:08 pm) | 2 | Most directories do not give PR (why would they want to? THEY want to benefit the most from the visitors who value a quality directory). However, this is not why I stated the PR’s. PR, of course, is important to the directory, which would equal more visibility of the directory, which would equal more potential visitors.
I get visitors from directories all the time. PR isn’t always the best indicator, but that is why I pointed out whether or not the site was new or not in my post. Alexa rankings was also mentioned, but that should be more focused to webmasters who know what Alexa is, and not the general public. This can also give you another indication.
There were multiple hidden reasons why I mentioned each of these. I usually use them in my research as to which directories to submit to. However, the main and probably most important thing to note is that this is about free directories to submit to, to increase back links/visibility.
